I coach teachers in Buchtel CLC in how to implement project-based learning practices as created by New Tech Network. This is done in an effort to create a richer and more equitable learning environment for all learners, as well create a more fulfilling classroom space and practice for teachers.

I co-taught biology with a mentor teacher in the Community Wraparound Academy at East Technical High School in Cleveland. I taught while also participating in a rigorous masters program run by John Carroll University and the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.

My courses focus on basic concepts that are found in college chemistry and physics courses while integrating creative approaches that engage arts students.

I advised a senior US congressman on legislation and appropriations regarding the US Department of the Interior and the environment.

I taught a science curriculum based on classes held outside in a secluded section of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Students would visit for 4 days at a time. Instruction included ecology, chemistry, geology, and local history.
