• Supporting the Department of Energy's oversight of the Nuclear Waste Treatment & Vitrification Facility at Hanford, WA.• Use sound technical judgment and initiative to resolve the challenges of changing conditions and other problems relative to the assigned projects and programs.• Use physics or mechanical, nuclear, electrical, chemical, civil, or industrial engineering theories, principles, and practices• Analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes, and recommends courses of action or solutions.• Work closely with a team, perform assessments, clearly and concisely document assessment results, and present findings orally and in writing to the approval authority.• Coordinate with related engineering and physical science fields adequate to effectively discuss technical points and to recommend acceptable engineering solutions to problems.• Perform and interpret calculations, analyses, and computations for unknown factors or relationships primarily in the matters of factual nature of involving well understood mechanisms

• Conduct engineering and economic analysis to determine viability of proposals as well as the short-term and long-term benefits to the government.• Reviewing Applications for Permits to Drill (APDs) for technical adequacy and compliance with Bureau policy.• Providing instructions and authorizations for final plugging and abandonment of Federal wells.• Participating in environmental analysis and other environmental and land use planning documents.• Assist in oil and gas lease development.• Providing review and making recommendations for approval of Sundry Notice applications for oil and gas operations.

• Serve as the technical expert concerning complex scientific and engineering projects or initiatives and technical matters related to the Hanford vitrification facility.• Evaluates scientific and engineering programs/project needs and prepares documentation (i.e., budget, procurement, Statements of Work (SOW), etc.) to support those needs.• Conducts analysis of technical science and engineering issues, requirements and development efforts to resolve conflicts, unique issues and to address scientific and engineering uncertainties.

• Wireline subject matter expert conducting casing perforations for hydraulic fracturing.• Work directly with customer to implement and adjust designs around wellbore characteristics.• Conduct multiple services including fiber mapping, well logging and oriented perforation. • Lead a ream of 5 personnel of varying backgrounds and subsidiary contractors while tracking logistical needs.• Ensure open and clear communications, allowing clients to be personally involved in current projects.• Responsible for all pre-job testing and troubleshooting as well as real time analysis during operations.• Safety leader responsible for OSHA and BATFE compliance with Federal and State guidelines per COGC.

• Assisted professors and graduate students in conducting lab experiments.• Maintained, repaired and improved laboratories used in the petroleum engineering program.

• Conduct operations conveying select information to audiences to influence the emotions and motives of local nationals in the support of US objectives.• Led a team in Afghanistan in 2012, conducted over 80 key leader engagements under the directive of the US State Department.• Build a multinational team to create an Afghan led Information Support Operations school with UN funding.• Trained local Afghan soldiers through the program with Australian forces to create a school curriculum that is still in use in the Kandahar District.• Research and analyze battlefield atmospherics to produce detailed reports for NATO forces.
