A consultant in Emergency Medicine since 1992 I have substantial experience in this developing speciality. My day to day experience combines managing acutely ill and injured patients with the management of the Emergency Department. I am an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor and an Examiner for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.I use this experience to prepare a considerable number of medico-legal reports currently around 150 reports per year as well as giving expert evidence in both criminal and civil courts and at inquests.My experience is to provide independent evidence in medical negligence claims instructed by both claimant and defendants. I quickly respond to initial enquiries including giving estimates of costs and can prepare short preliminary reportsI have wide experience of attending conferences with counsel and with attending expert meetings and preparing joint reportsI have adapted to remote working and using video conferencing to communicate with clients using a variety of platforms.I have been an expert witness in a virtual trial giving evidence to the court from a remote location rather than in person
