About Colin Irving

My career path has been anything but orthodox - and I wouldn't change a day of it! From Canada to the USA, and back home to Canada. From the workforce, to the home (studying for Lean Six Sigma Certification while raising a toddler is -- challenging), and back into a career (excellent for those that would like to be asleep before 8 every night!).And through it all, I have been lucky enough to merge my true passion (Lean, Process Improvement) with brilliant teammates, leaders, and mentors, to achieve some fantastic results. I was able to help reduce Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer's time spent on Drug Seizure Paperwork by 50%. I was able to lead wide ranging process improvement initiatives to help our Electronic Health Records Governance program (Improved routing of requests, Improved content and dissemination of details of upcoming changes). I have won an award for Innovation (Implemented a team huddle, Implemented Trello as a team visual management system). I have delivered quality executive meetings and Town Halls for an IT department of over 4,000 people. It is such an invigorating experience to be part of a team that constantly affects meaningful, impactful change. And there are yet so many more peaks to scale, and valleys to navigate. Onwards!Skills:Continuous process improvement, lean six sigma, change leadership, employee engagement, leadership development, project management, program management, requirement gathering, facilitation, business process management, strategic thinking, gap analysis, analytics, data analysis and presentation."Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success"-Henry Ford
