putt4dough was originally started in 2010 by Chris Marshall, to raised funds on behalf of Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.In 2020 I took over running this program under WAITTA from Chris as the new organiser of the annual putt4dough ICT Charity Golf Day.The longevity and success of putt4dough over since its inception, including through tough economic periods is testament to the IT industry strongly uniting in aid of supporting a vital community cause – helping sick Western Australian children at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) to live their healthiest and happiest lives.The basis of putt4dough has always been to encourage the industry to come together for a good cause as colleagues and industry friends alike, with the emphasis on ‘friendship’ and less on ‘competition’ - though, a bit of healthy competition on the golf course is encouraged!The nature of this event promotes good business amongst the sector and provides an important opportunity for industry professionals to network, raise vital funds and importantly, to have lots of fun throughout the day.putt4dough continues to be held on 2nd last week of November each year at Joondalup Resort.
