As one of three co-founders and members of the board of SALESGURU, I clearly had a vested interest in expanding our business and growing revenues.My initial task through 2006 and 2007 was the development, launch and expansion of SALESGURU publication, a monthly magazine and at that time, our principal product and sole vehicle for revenue generation.After that, though I continued to have an active duty in the publication, my overriding roles were management of the advertising sales team, pursuing a specific revenue target of my own, management of key accounts and relationships, development of speaking opportunities and our own SALESGURU Roadshows and assistance in the development of various training products.As a director of a small company, I also got involved in all manner of other things, from helping the salespeople with briefs and proposals to handling customer complaints, and building contacts to assist with content for the magazine, talks, and other things.SALESGURU Live! RoadshowsI delivered keynotes at our SALESGURU Live! events, between April 2007 and May 2010. SALESGURU Live! Roadshows visit Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town every four months and address a combined audience of around 1100 people. The Roadshows are sales-focused educational events and the attendees, sales professionals.
