As a Director of Product Ownership/Business Analysis in R&D at Manhattan, I lead a team of product owners who drive the ongoing end-to-end design/grooming, acceptance, and support of all features in the Manhattan Active Warehouse Management product. I serve as a resident functional subject matter expert in all areas of warehouse execution, as well as multiple other areas of supply chain planning and execution. I work daily with product managers, sales associates, professional services consultants, corporate partners, and our customers, to define, refine, and influence new product features and the product roadmap. I guide and coach the product owners in R&D in areas of proper agile design and ongoing backlog management. I instill in the team an iterative and agile mentality that strives to address functional requirements in simple, effective, and flexible ways in the base product. I serve as a key liaison between functional leads and technical development leads, as well as between R&D and the Product Management and Cloud/Dev Ops teams, to ensure that the most important features are developed in line with expected timelines for delivery and adoption in customer stage/production.

As a Senior Principal BA in R&D at Manhattan, I was a key functional architect and product owner in R&D of the Manhattan Active™ Warehouse Management product from its earliest days of inception. This role involved gathering requirements and designing innovative solutions that grew eventually into the Manhattan Active WM product. In addition to the core role of base product design, my other contributions included conducting integration and user acceptance testing for product quality; providing input on User Interfaces; and performing various kinds of training and knowledge transfer sessions to our internal customers in other departments. As a Senior Manager and leader in the PO/BA group, I continued to contribute heavily to the product design, by way of managing a small team of product owners. This team owned end-to-end design and acceptance of the many cutting-edge features in warehouse management systems, built using agile methodologies. This was a multi-year effort culminating in the wide release of the product in 2020. Prior to the development of the Manhattan Active Warehouse Management product, I was an individual contributor BA for an earlier iteration of WM - Warehouse Management for Open Systems, on the Supply Chain Process Platform. I led functional ownership of several key areas of the system and served as a WM subject matter expert in all areas of warehouse management.

Guided and delivered solution design for complex multi-national supply chain processes via the Manhattan Associates software products, with a primary concentration in Distribution Management (Warehouse, Labor and Automation focus), and e-Commerce and Retail Order Management. Mentored both clients and Manhattan colleagues alike on industry best practices for guaranteed success of implementation and continued use of Manhattan’s products in the field. Ensured quality, simplicity, and elegance of all design deliverables, both my own and those of the teams’ junior consultants. Collaborated with members of client teams across many levels of seniority including executive leadership. Served as a liaison between consultants and internal Research & Development resources, providing field experiences and requirements as input for roadmap features. Managed an internal team of teammates on the rise in the professional services design role and interfaced with internal upper management often about opportunities for team member growth.

Served as lead consultant and primary point of contact for client regarding design and implementation of Warehouse Management for Open Systems (SCPP). Designed, configured, and unit and integration tested the WMOS product for several clients end to end, and provided on-site production support during go-lives, within WMOS as well as in conjunction with third-party automation and ERP systems. Lead functional and interface design discussions, managed client communications and issue tracking, and mentored clients through the configuration and testing process. Grew in the Manhattan organization through roles in internal leadership, process improvement efforts, interviewing and training of new associates, and mentoring efforts.
