I am currently employed at Vinci facilities. In this role as a mobile repair technician, my duties involve planned and reactive maintenance to a broad range of clients, which includes Debenhams, Dixons Carphone, Cancer Research UK, and the Canal and river trust.

Oldbury

Innovative Environmental Solutions is the world’s largest industrial waste gasification and advanced recycling facility. I began my employment at IES as a maintenance electrician, before promotion to Shift Team leader. My new position involved taking up an operational role, providing full plant preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as the operation of 2 steam boilers and a 40MW turbine using the SCADA system. This involved the startup and shutdown of industrial steam boilers, synchronizing the turbine to the National grid, and supervising the boiler and turbine throughout the process.

Tipton

During my time at Premier, a Powder Coating Plant in Tipton, I was responsible for implementing, monitoring and auditing of a new Planned Preventative Maintenance program. I was also part of the management team that helped to plan and coordinate the installation of a new thermal break assembly line.

I worked on various domestic contracts whilst subcontracting to Willenhall Housing Group (WHG) and Superior Plumbing Installations (SPI). Responsible for a team of three, liaising with other Contractors and site clerks, organising workloads, testing/inspecting and certifying completed jobs. In order to comply with Part P of the Building Regulations I successfully registered as a NICEIC Approved Installer.

I began my working life by enlisting into the British Army. After six months training at Bassingbourn and Catterick I joined my Battalion (the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers) in Germany. Completing tours in Bosnia and Poland.
