I was selected for overseas specialty training. Consequently, I am responsible for tool string design based on well characteristics as well as tool deployment and utilization. I am frequently required to work with sales and clients in order to ensure that the quality and integrity of our tools remains intact as well as providing a safe and high quality service at the same time. Occasionally, I am required to perform testing of software versions and compatibility with our tools. During the operation I am required to record and interpret pressure readings in order to verify the operation is still proceeding as scheduled. Throughout my career at Weatherford I have been asked to mentor new engineers and encourage them to progress and grow in their training. I achieved this by explaining tool theory of operation, procedures and policies as well as answering any questions they may have with regards to operations, management, progression etc.

I began by demonstrating my competence of technical theory of logging tools by constructing presentations for sales, operational excellence and managers. I was required to present, in detail, the operation, application and theory of tool measurement of a list of tools run by field engineers. After successfully passing my presentations I was responsible to ensure the tools are within limits deemed acceptable by Weatherford policy by performing monthly calibrations and conducting Engineering Acceptance Procedures. While in the field I would often be required to interpret data if the response of the tools was questionable. This requires a systematic approach to problem resolution. Consequently, to achieve a solution this requires the dismantlement of systems in order to isolate the root cause of the issue and in turn come to a rapid solution. Depending on the severity of the issue a root cause analysis is performed. During this time I aided in the mentoring of new engineers and acted as product line manager when absent. Answering tool string design questions, compiling schedules and response of tools in different formations were tasks performed during my time as acting manager.
