Global It Manager - Tribology
CurrentKey responsibilities • Global IT Infrastructure Manager for the Oil/Fluid analysis division of ALS Global covering 20 international locations across 6 continents with teams based in Brisbane, Cleveland Ohio, Belo Horizonte Brazil, and Vancouver Canada.• Lead Software Development, IT Infrastructure and Business support Teams globally• Manage the software development team, the software release schedule and change/risk management aspects of the software development lifecycle.• Manage the IT Infrastructure components that support the ALS Tribology business globally.Key achievements• Lead the legacy infrastructure and application replacement projects utilising Azure IaaS/PaaS including Production, UAT, Dev/Test environments, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure SQL managed instances with Geo-Replicated DR, Azure Function Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory integration, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage Accounts for Blob/Table storage, AzureB2C.• Lead the planning, development and release of several new and innovative software product releases include enhanced data analytics, new Web API offerings for customer EAM/ERP integration and automation, new cross-platform reporting platforms and various others.• Lead the replacement of existing global CRM and ERP platforms and associated internal integrations.• Implemented many major updates and enhancements to our Mobile, Web and API platforms based on customer and internal feedback.• Lead and coordinate the IT components for major global tender submissions and IT Security audits.• Introduced many IT service management process and procedure changes to reduce incidents caused by poorly planned/unapproved changes and address known systemic problems.• Streamlined the software development process utilising the AGILE methodology to correctly prioritise and schedule work based on known team capacity and business need.• OPEX and CAPEX responsibility for global/regional IT budgets.
