I coordinate Headstart2 project development. Headstart2 is an online language learning system designed for non-linguist military personnel. I research and collaborate with colleagues to write content and templates for the Headstart2 Program and other projects, as needed. I perform quality control of the Headstart2 Projects as needed. I stay abreast of current technology developments related to foreign language education.

I taught English to foreign students seeking entrance into American post-secondary schools.

I taught English at a small trade and technical college in Mongolia in a town called Arvaikheer. I worked closely with five Mongolian English teachers to help develop their language and teaching skills. I also taught five sections of conversational English to students enrolled in the interpreter course of study. I also wrote/shot/edited several video productions to augment my work and that of several other volunteers. I loved my job and am very proud of my contribution.

Was responsible for the day-to-day administrative conduct of introductory through advanced undergraduate classes in cultural anthropology and archaeology. This included writing and grading examinations and grading essays (both for content and for correct English usage and adherence to guidelines for source citation). Assisted primary instructor in lecturing. Provided tutoring and mentorship to students on an individual basis.

I taught intelligence gathering, interpretation and presentation techniques to USAR Officers who were seeking branch qualification as Intelligence Officers.

I taught basic PSYOP techniques to enlisted members of the Army Reserve and Marine Corps Reserve who were seeking qualification in the PSYOP career field. This included research methods, basic social science topics, the creation of persuasive messages in various media and the selection and use of these media to convey these messages to a target audience. I was awarded Instructor of the Year in 1990.

As a PSYOP officer, I was responsible for leading diverse, multi-disciplinary teams of soldiers involved in the research, development and dissemination of propaganda campaigns aimed at influencing large numbers of enemy combatants as well as civilian non-combatants. I have successfully trained and led interrogators and infantrymen as well as radio DJs and cartoonists. As a result of my experience, I have a deep appreciation of the role media can play as an agent of social change, for good or ill, in the world at large.
