Report directly to the Executive Director of the Benefit Funds and Business Manager of the UnionProvide strategic planning, recommendations, and budgeting for hardware, software, and communications equipment, including but not limited to Servers, Storage, Networking, Workstations, VoIP Phones, Smartphones, Firewalls, Operating Systems, Applications, and Security Software.Maintain infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File and Print Services.Assist the Executive Director and Business Manager in developing policies and procedures related to Information Technology and Information Security that align with the requirements of regulations such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS.Coordinate with consultants and VARs to successfully complete information technology projects that require additional expertise or resources that we do not have on staff.Design, Implement, and Maintain technical Access Controls for objects including Files, Directories, Network Ports, and Devices. Implement and Maintain Whole Disk Encryption on mobile devicesDesign and Maintain a schedule for backing up critical data. Monitor daily backup jobs and respond to any errors.Destroy data on any media that is being retired by in accordance with current NIST or DoD standards for media destruction Perform Patch Management tasks on all devices, including Servers, Workstations, Networking Devices, and Smart PhonesAudit logs on a regular basis in order to proactively detect underlying errors or attempted security breaches.Perform periodic scans to identify ports/services that are open and other vulnerabilities such as missing patches or service packs.Implement and maintain a method for exchanging secure, encrypted E-mail with third parties.Assist in technical aspects of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery PlanningReview vendor contracts to ensure alignment with our Information Technology goals and compliance with our security policies.
