I am responsible for communicating with government agencies for funding and relationship building for economic development. Each year proposals were successfully written to reduce operating costs and target the needs identified by planning with Leadership to target weaknesses of the business.I developed and updated the following policies working with Leadership: Financial Policy, Housing Policy, Chief and Council Terms of Reference, Personnel Policy and Post Secondary Education Policy.Working closely with the Chief we have successfully written, managed and reported on projects to: renovate 20 of the 30 houses on reserve; build a new administration building; concession stand/changerooms, soccer field, playground, skateboard park, basketball court and landscaping for these projects. These were close partnerships and standards had to meet the following organizations expectations: Western Economic Diversification, Health Canada and AANDC.
