As a Director on the Board I play help to shape the strategic direction and ensuring the financial health of the organisation. I am currently working as a senior physiotherapist at GoHealth Online dealing with referrals from GP s, clinical specialists, care of the elderly, sports teams and post operative orthopaedic surgery. Being an active sports person I understand the importance of enjoying sports and recreation without pain or discomfort and an early return to the playing field. I also enjoy the challenge of treating everyday injuries and complaints. My aim is to address the cause of the problem rather than treating the ongoing symptoms. I worked in an acute private practice musculoskeletal setting dealing with referrals from GP s, clinical specialists, care of the elderly, Sports teams and post operative orthopaedic surgery.

Recently I have completed a 3 month placement in Mongu, Zambia dealing with disabled children with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida and club Feet. This environment gave me the opportunity to adapt my skills and knowledge to the 3rd world environment.

I worked at senior level in both private and public hospitals in a musculoskeletal setting dealing with referrals from GP s, clinical specialists and post operative orthopaedic surgery. I dealt with MSK conditions that are both acute and chronic in nature.

This was my first post graduate position working in out patients dealing with varies MSK conditions. I managed all total knee replacement referrals in a class setting and worked with chronic neuro conditions for 4 hrs a week. I also completed a 6 month community rotation as a band 5 physiotherapist. I worked within a team of OT's, Physiotherapist, and District Nurses. Prior to the above I completed 15 months in the out patients department within the same Trust. The patients treated in this setting were more chronic in nature. I received regular in-service training, supervision and peer support. This type of learning environment provided me with an excellent knowledge base and established my clinical reasoning skills.

I worked as a band 5 physiotherapist in out patients dealing with varies MSK conditions. This placement gave me the opportunity to assess and treat patients within their home environment. Prior to the above I completed 15 months in the out patients department within the same Trust. The problems seen in this setting were more chronic in nature. I received regular inservice training, this type of learning environment gave me the opportunity to liaise with other professions such as podiatry, Occupational Therapy and orthopaedic consultants. Working in the NHS and the private sector gave me a greater opportunity to observe the different expectations that these patients may have
