After graduating college with a liberal arts degree, I took several computer science courses at my local community college and discovered that I had a budding interest in pursuing a career in Web Development. With years of experience working in highly successful, small, growing businesses, GA provided an opportunity to learn not just how to write code, but also learn how to be a web developer. Opened, ran, and helped manage a high-volume taproom at a fast-growing brewery in the Greater Boston area recently voted the #3 Top Brewery in the world at RateBeer Festival 2017. One part sales, one part customer service, and one part management, my responsibilities included facilitating and promoting the opening of our first full-service taproom, providing a knowledgeable and approachable face for the company at the primary point of entry for customers into the craft beer ‘scene’, communicating with sales and retail management to asses sales expectations, and daily accounting of sales and sales-variances across two locations.

Ran one of two retail cafes, for farm-to-table catering company. Responsibilities included: working individually and independently to manage all operations during shifts, conduct daily inventory, and perform all customer service roles including food preparation. Responsible for financial transactions and accounting reports for company sales at beginning and end of shifts. Serve as liaison between Sugarsnap Management and site management at museum and marine research center (ECHO, Burlington, VT).

Worked as an office assistant on a part-time basis. Opened mail, assisted with database entry, prepared checks for deposit, and helped with website updating. At times of annual conference, assisted with registration and check in of teachers at the registration area.
