A current client is Sepsis Research (FEAT) based in Glasgow. I am the Chief Operating Officer of this small charity that is funding vital research into sepsis and raising awareness of the illness. Sepsis arises when the body's response to an infection damages its own tissues and organs. It can lead to sepsis shock, multiple organ failure and death, especially if it is not recognised early and treated promptly. Sepsis kills over 52,000 people in the UK every year and is the acute reaction to infection.Prior to this I was he was the CEO of Cancer Support Scotland building a cancer centre in the grounds of Gartnavel Hospital and has rebranded the charity to ensure its viability for years to come. I helped them grow their fundraising income, raised their profile and put the charity on a stable financial footing.I have a Sports and Recreational Post Graduate Diploma and has served three years as a board member of East Renfrewshire Golf Club as their marketing and sales director overseeing a rise in visitor income and an increase in membership, using my transferable skills gained from the voluntary sector.I will walk you though the process of the changes needed in your charities/club’s marketing, fundraising, governance and management strategies and will help you deliver them.
