“There’s no shortage of remarkable ideas, only the will to execute them.”Over the course of my career, I’ve found my calling when asked to cut through the noise of complex and turbulent situations and solve problems. I thrive when thrown into challenging or ambiguous situations and embrace new challenges for the opportunities that they are— a chance to further my growth while helping organizations realize their full potential. From my first job working on a dairy farm, to the last decade leading business operations and transformations, my career has been filled with diverse experiences. As a result, I’ve seen the good, the bad, the ugly and more, but I've been fortunate to learn from each encounter. Calling upon my wealth of knowledge, creativity, and unique experiences, I’ve helped organizations build a better, more dependable, and more impactful future for their stakeholders.Growing up in Houston, Texas and abroad, my worldview was shaped by the international community and surrounded me with languages and cultures from around the globe. Navigating these environments taught me how to be an effective communicator, which has helped me facilitate conversations between stakeholders. I appreciate the power and importance that words hold, and believe effective communication is key to any team’s success.When the Coronavirus Pandemic upended life as we knew it, I found myself grounded in a place I knew nothing about, apart from the airport security line. At the time I did not recognize it, but I came to see this opportunity for what it was: another chance to learn. I discovered the city’s rich and storied history but also became aware of the challenges the community faces. Like so many other post-industrial communities, Erie has suffered the consequences of decisions made long ago by names no longer remembered. The more I learned about Erie, the more I was convinced of Erie’s potential and optimistic for the future that can be built. My experiences crossing the globe didn’t show me what Erie was lacking, rather, I began to see what Erie could become. As I became more involved in the community, I grew increasingly frustrated and conflicted. I was working remotely, from Erie, on interesting and inspiring projects that benefited other communities, meanwhile, the same opportunities existed here, but nobody pursued them. So, that’s what I’m doing. I’m bringing the knowledge and expertise I’ve used to advise companies all over the world, to pursue opportunities here, in Erie, and build the future this community deserves.
