My name is Colin Shepherd and I am one of the Advisors of Salus Financial. I grew up in Denver, Colorado which naturally encouraged me to spend time outside and gave me an appreciation for the Great Outdoors. My wife and I take every opportunity to escape the Scottsdale heat and head up to the mountains with our two dogs, Rufus and Birdie. International travel to explore the world is our favorite activity, but when we stay local, we love spending time outside – hiking, camping and even squeezing in a little fly fishing. My wife, Hannah, is a Dermatology PA-C in Scottsdale and is an Arizona native herself.As an RIA-based Wealth Advisor, I do things differently than a ‘traditional’ advisor working for an insurance or investment company. Instead of selling investment or insurance products to my clients, I focus on providing Ongoing Financial Advice and tailored Investment Management from a Fiduciary perspective. I schedule proactive meetings with my clients to evaluate the progress of their plan and ensure we are staying ahead of an ever-changing life. I provide organization and clarity to my clients lives by instilling the confidence that they are on-track to hit their personal and financial goals through objectivity, accountability, proactivity and a long-term partnership. My job as an Advisor is to understand your current resources and challenges while helping to identify your dreams, goals and ambitions. I deliberately take an educational approach during our meetings because I am passionate about Financial Empowerment so that my clients understand their options and the “why’s” and “how’s” behind the recommendations. Then, together, we design a financial ‘roadmap’ to keep you on track and hold you accountable, knowing we have a contingency plan in place to protect against the unknown. While our conversations are focused on financial matters, I get to know my clients on a personal level to ensure the strategy we create together is in your best interest, and as your life continues to change, we are able to grow with it.
