Colin is a Partner in BDO’s Tax practice, with more than thirteen years of experience in public accounting including over ten years in income tax. Colin works closely with a number of clients in the technology, life sciences, real estate and construction, and manufacturing industries. Colin specializes in income tax for a wide range of clients ranging from large owner-managed companies to professional run enterprise level organizations. His significant experience includes involvement in corporate and partnership reorganizations, tax planning for the sale and purchase of businesses, cross-border taxation, shareholder remuneration planning, estate planning, and financial planning related to SR&ED claims. Colin also has extensive experience dealing with the CRA on behalf of his clients and has successfully resolved a number of disputes with the CRA. Colin manages a number of staff in his department, providing coaching and training. Colin is a Chartered Professional Accountant, a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, and a facilitator for CPA Canada’s In Depth Tax Program.
