I hold an active Washington license (#HOOPECT800JL) as an Electrical Trainee, am current with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours, and I am a third-year Electrical 01 Commercial Inside Wireman Apprentice with CITCWA, a Washington State-approved non-union electrical construction apprenticeship program.I am presently working at Merit Electrical as apprentice to the job-foreman of Merit's electrical team. Our team of electricians is in the process of installing the commercial wiring for a several-story multifamily apartment community located in South Seattle.My immediate career objective is to earn the additional approved Affidavit hours that will qualify me to sit for the Washington (01) General Journey Level Electrician Certificate Examination. In the meantime, I am on the waitlist to attend a training class that will prepare me to sit for the general electrical administrator (AD01) certification exam.Prior to beginning work at Merit, I earned an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Electrical Construction at Bates Technical College (cumulative GPA 3.79 / 4.0), which is a 27-month electrical wireman training program. Upon completion of my program at Bates, I completed an OSHA 30 course through the University of South Florida’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center (online), which is one of the program providers recommended by OSHA. Prior to starting the Bates Technical program, I completed the 6-month South Seattle College / Vigor Industries Maritime Shipyard Welding program, earning a NAVSEA welding certification. That training, which was conducted at the Harbor Island Training Center in Seattle, taught me how to perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) to high NAVSEA standards. While attending the program I also learned Tack Welding, use of a plasma cutter, and I earned OSHA Firewatch, and Forklift Certifications.I own a full set of journeyman electrician trade power and hand tools, a full set of welding PPE and a standard set of welding tools.
