• Serve as the expert for engagement strategies for a geographical region of over 250,000 alumni inSouthern Ohio and the Midwest US.
• Act as the official liaison between the Alumni Association and the 23 geographically based alumniclubs within region.
• Illustrate metrics that assess engagement strategies, volunteer participation and opportunities,identified leadership annual giving, major gift prospects, etc.
• Coordinate 5 events annually in major markets that target segments of the alumni population in aneffort to connect alumni with each other and with their alma mater.
• Identify and train volunteers with event planning, conflict resolution, communications, andadministrative tasks.
• Collaborate with University Admissions staff to recruit alumni volunteers to aid in student recruitmentefforts.

As the first Volunteer Manager, I created a strong framework for volunteer recruitment, engagement and retention. Within year one, I managed nearly 30,000 volunteer hours, coordinated two large fundraising events and helped to increase annual donations by $200K. I could not have accomplished such quick success without the work of the volunteers so I led.

I made a portion of our 300+ daily pickup and delivery runs to furniture donors and families throughout Central Ohio. I drove a box truck to pick up furniture donations from various residential areas, hotels and universities.I brought a new energy to the organization, established new relationships with management and earned a promotion to the management.
