Colin joined Rocky Mountaineer during the inaugural full season of the Rockies to Red Rocks route in 2022 as a Guest Experience Specialist in Denver. Quickly rising through the ranks, he became a Lead Guest Experience Specialist and is the Guest Experience Training Coordinator overseeing training for his department in the United States. Prior to joining Rocky Mountaineer, Colin had a storied career in hospitality and international affairs. In hospitality, he was a certified trainer and counter server for the highly regarded Hill Country Barbecue in Washington, D.C., cheese monger at the original Murray’s Cheese shop in New York City, and Assistant General Manager at Culture Meat and Cheese in Denver. In international affairs, Colin became the Senior Organization Manager for the international education non-profit Professors Without Borders overseeing the global programs in Africa, Asia, Europe, and operations within the organization. In addition, he worked as a Public Diplomacy Specialist for Concepts & Strategies and Trevian International on a public relations project for the Embassy of Kazakhstan to the United States. With skills in team building, operations management, diplomacy, and hospitality, Colin has organized programs throughout his career building a solid foundation for exponential growth. His dedication, positive mindset, and integrity supported strong teams unified in achieving goals in both professional and personal development. Colin holds a B.A. in International Studies from American University and a Postgraduate Diploma & Certificate from Richmond, The American Interational University in London. It was in Europe where Colin rekindled his love of trains while riding the rails across the continent. In his free time, you can find Colin performing as a DJ at venues across Denver, attending concerts, riding his bike, traveling, and spending time with his family.
