About Colin Whittington

Serving those who have served others has become my life's work.My mission is clear: to honor and support America's Veterans and First Responders by helping them transition into fulfilling careers. After a rewarding career in law enforcement, I've channeled my passion into creating pathways for these heroes to thrive in the private sector.I began my law enforcement career with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in northern Virginia, where I quickly earned recognition for my dedication and bravery. Within my first year on patrol, I was awarded two Life Saving Awards for my actions in critical incidents. In 2019, I was named Virginia Deputy Sheriff of the Year by the Virginia Sheriff's Association. Promoted to Sergeant, I led the recruiting, background investigation, and hiring unit for the largest full-service Sheriff's Office in Virginia. Despite nationwide challenges in law enforcement recruitment, my team achieved a record-low vacancy rate through innovative and strategic approaches.In 2022, I made the difficult decision to leave law enforcement. I founded Recruiting Heroes LLC, an employment agency with a singular focus: finding exceptional careers for America's Veterans and First Responders after their years of service. My team and I work tirelessly to bridge the gap between our nation's heroes and the private sector.
