Through my role at BSI, I enable businesses to develop their employees while remaining compliant and robustly analyse their product portfolio, ably supported by our training and experts in fields such as sustainability, innovation, product certification, to name a few.

Includes training and software solutions for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 22301, 50001, FSSC, RSPO, BRCGS as well as customized assurance solutions - such as supplier audits on topics such as labour rights, and compliance to local, international or customer requirements. Also specific solutions such as BS 10008 which is a requirement in the NHS. BSI also offers Kitemark services for a range of products and the two recently launched Kitemarks - Kitemark for Food and Kitemark for Hygiene at Premises and Workplaces - especially in response to creating COVID-19 safer workplaces. Leading the exciting growth in sustainability services to the food and farming sector for ADAS, including driving forward the ADAS Cannabis Value Chain Service as well as the Modern Slavery Value Chain Service. Also initiated the bespoke Alternative Proteins Service - which includes looking at novel proteins for use in feed and food such as insects - which is set to be a significant growth area - and working with customers to overcome marketplace and regulatory obstacles to enable wider adoption of insect farming as a possible way to reduce the environmental consequences of traditional meat and protein production techniques (notably in dairy and beef production).

Supporting organisations across UK and Northern Europe to develop resilience in their value chains through reducing the risks arising from core sustainability issues e.g. business integrity, environmental impacts, human rights, labour issues. Currently there is a considerable focus on Modern Slavery Act and undertaking consultancy / assurance on Modern Slavery Act disclosure. DNV GL enables organisations to take a defined strategic approach to risk reduction and enhance global value chains to become more sustainable. Highly focused on the metals sector in ResponsibleSteel and Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI). I led the accreditation of DNV GL to ASI and we were the most widely globally distributed certification body for ASI - with some impressive global clients who were pioneers in managing their sustainability impact in the aluminium value chain.
