At 19-years of age, I was given the unique opportunity to be the lead maintenance technician at a new start-up facility, which was housed at a correctional institution. Specialized skills were essential for upkeep of this facility; they included general electircal, electrical troubleshooting, welding, pneumatic and hydraulic piping and repair. My responsibilities included upkeep/organization of parts and parts ordering. This involved the distribution and ordering of chemicals. I developed meticulous research and analytical skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop creative and practical solutions to plant-wide issues and concerns.

Guest-related services and care included parking vehicles of guests at the inn, showing guestrooms and providing tours of the facilities, room service, and some housekeeping responsibilities. This required multi-tasking, communicating complex information effectively, and developing expert interpersonal and relationship building skills.
