I am a connector and communicator with diverse experience grounded in science. Educated in plant biology and liberal arts at Columbia, I am a critical thinker and skilled writer. I approach problems and projects by starting at the system level and zooming in, but I am never shy of wading into the weeds to understand specifics. I admire strong, humble leadership, innovative solutions to public-interest problems, and genuine expertise.Passionate about human-environment interaction in general and agriculture in particular, I am excited about the potential for sustainable food systems to contribute to climate change mitigation. Yet, beyond issues of atmospheric gas concentrations and water pollution, I am curious about the role that agriculture can play in social, political, and philosophical questions.
