Having guided the design and completion of a wide range of renovation and restoration projects for nearly 25 years, most of my accomplishments can be seen throughout New England. 15 years of my career has been spent occupying a leadership role in a small firm in Salem, MA, before founding Brewster Design Studio in 2021. My portfolio is comprised of ecclesiastical and educational facilities for the Archdiocese of Boston, central office renovations and building envelope repairs for Verizon Communications from Massachusetts to New York, and various renovation and repair projects for the United Stated Postal Service. My notable award-winning projects include: the Ware Street Verizon Central Office by the Cambridge Historical Commission, the steeple and tower restoration at St. Mary’s Church by the Lynn Historical Society, and the Historic Salem Jail by The American Institute of Architects.My ability to set design strategies at the beginning of conceptual design and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams ensures that the deliverables are met on time. When priorities change, I can easily pivot tasks to balance workloads and timelines. I regularly design and manage multiple complex projects and generate practical design solutions to determining the best use of underutilized space. By working closely with contractors, I can ensure that the architectural design is followed, and project objectives are met.My commitment to meaningful collaboration with clients allows me to serve as a valuable resource. With my comprehension of the intricate interactions needed to guide a project through all phases – from schematic design through construction administration, I help clarify a clients goals and determine suitable design recommendations that will help achieve their vision. While I continue to serve private commercial clients, I’ve gradually directed my focus toward residential design, reshaping the spaces where time is spent as a family, and individuals rest, reflect, and in recent years work.
