Project included risk assessments, business continuity planning, interpretation of program rules and requirements, development of policies and policy language and establishing governance processes. Developing technology policies and performing risk and vendor assessments for local community banking organizations and an IT managed services provider.

Phoenix, Arizona Area

Regional family casual dining and entertainment brand. The Peter Piper Pizza system includes more than 140 locations in the Southwest U.S. and Mexico. Led all IT services for existing and planned restaurants and corporate functions. Worked closely with corporate and franchise senior management to develop strategic plans and implement enabling business solutions. Played a key role in the transition of IT services to CEC Entertainment as a result of the sale of the company.  Reduced data center equipment spending by 25%.  Increased the IT resource capability and availability by restructuring the use of capital and operating expenses and internal and external resources. Identified enabling technologies, performed vendor assessments, contract negotiations and managed the implementations. Solutions included On-line Ordering, Point of Sale, Labor Scheduling, Employee Portal, Inventory, Digital Menu Boards, Guest Wireless and Email Archiving.  Developed and implemented an infrastructure “roadmap” that included significant network and data center upgrades. Results enabled key elements of a major rebranding/reimaging initiative, Disaster Recovery capabilities and PCI-DSS compliance.

Responsible for IT support services for existing (1200+) and planned (50+ annually) corporate and franchise restaurants. Services include Restaurant Operations Call Center and IT Field Service dispatch, Level 3 hardware and software support, POS/BOS system configuration maintenance, software and hardware testing and deployment, installations and platform conversions, Vendor Management for restaurant IT solution providers, Program Management for field software and hardware conversions and implementations.

Orange County, California Area

Led the development, installation and support of all business applications used across the CKE brands for in-restaurant, field operations, distribution center and corporate business processes.  Directed the planning, analysis and deployment of the POS/Back Office systems replacement for Hardee’s restaurants. Effort included process standardization across Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s concepts, and the integration of the Xpient POS and Back Office system with CKE’s Inventory and Labor Management systems.  Migrated CKE’s legacy inventory/food cost financial reporting system to a SOX compliant platform.

Phoenix, Arizona Area

Led the development and support of workflow products used to enable accounting processing operations to be moved from client sites to ACS sites.  SOX / SAS 70 – 1st successful SOX and SAS 70 audits conducted within the Finance and Accounting division.  Gained management approval to re-architect the then available product offering. Assigned to direct the design, development and implementation.

Responsible for the leadership and management of the Application Development and Support services team.  Developed fiscal departmental plan and managed within budget. Combined overhead and capital exceeded 4M.  Drove alignment on the benefits of common systems for Product and Rights Management. Led and designed the approach for gathering common requirements.
