As a teacher, I work to implement curriculum standards in ways that promote student engagement. I have experience working with students in grades 9-12. Grade 9 introduces students to fundamental skills in literary analysis and writing. Grade 10 concentrates on world literature, providing students with rich multi-cultural texts. Grade 11 focuses on masterworks of American writing, beginning with Native American myths, up through the Jazz Age and present day. Our Grade 12 examines great books throughout the ages. In addition to reading, we work with students to develop clear, but sophisticated writing so they will be prepared for college and the work force.

As an adjunct, I taught Theatre History I and II, exploring how different generations and cultures used theatre as a mode of expression.

As secretary, I managed all correspondence and student files. I supervised work study students, and maintained the computer database of student records.
