Kenyon graduated from Skidmore College with honors in art in 1973. She studied printmaking and photography at Indiana University and received her MFA degree in 1976. An artist since she was a young girl, she worked at the Woodstock Playhouse, the Turneau Opera, the Lewis Gallery and studied painting with Agnes Hart at the Woodstock Guild. In 1978 she became a volunteer at the Center for Photography at Woodstock and worked at CPW for the next twenty-five years. Her passion is social justice and at the Center she encouraged young artists, women and minorities to claim their place in the visual arts. Kenyon is grateful for the support of her teachers, friends and family. With over 85 exhibitions, her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum, and the Dorsky Museum of Art. She now lives in an 1815 home in Saugerties New York where the quality of the light is astonishing and serves to inform her art. At sixty-two, Kenyon went back to school to study at SUNY Ulster for a degree in alcohol and drug addiction counseling. She completed her CASAC courses in 2013 and served as an intern Able House in Saugerties, NY.
