I serve as the campus advisor for students interested in pursuing graduate and professional school (including Health Professions and Law Schools). I advise students on graduate and professional school application, selection, personal statement and resume writing, financing, and interview skills. I connect students with alumni in their respective areas, as well as advise them on obtaining practical skills. I work with students to brainstorm internships, job shadowing, and other job-related skills.I serve as the advisor for the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, Pre-Health Mentor Groups, Pre-Law and Public Affairs, and Future Medical Professionals student groups.

I serve as a co-principle investigator on our Inclusive Excellence in STEM grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute $1M grant, Improving Persistence and Success for Underserved STEM Students at an Undergraduate Institution, Enacting Systemic Change by Building Relationships

I work with students interested in pursuing health professions careers to tailor their education with their career goals. I advise students on coursework requirements, application timelines, and extracurricular involvement. Taught the course GLH 301- Global Health Practicum. GLH 301 is a half-credit course centered on a practicum project that includes one (1) applied clinical or community-based experience. Options that qualify include, but are not limited to, original research, an internship, or another kind of experiential learning (January and May projects and certain off-campus study projects may qualify, subject to committee review). A practicum is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to integrate and apply skills and knowledge gained through coursework with experience gained in a professional public health work environment. Global health work environments include not-for-profit organizations, hospitals, local health departments, and for-profit firms among others. This practicum expectation mirrors expectations set by the Council on Education for Public Health. A typical practicum experience in the Global Health major requires students to work a range of 80 - 120 hours under the supervision of an experienced site supervisor and the course instructor. Each practicum has at least one tangible deliverable to be determined by the student and instructor.

Taught the 4 credit hour course, Introduction to Global Health to 30 students. This course introduces students to an interdisciplinary understanding of complex health issues. Topics discussed a range of disciplinary perspectives while considering historical, social, environmental, cultural, political, and economic factors that shape physical, mental, and social health. Rather than a focus on one location, population, or period of time, this course examined the different perspectives and approaches that impact health and health disparities that can be used to improve health both locally and globally.

I teach a flow-based yoga practice to all levels of students. My intention is for participants to learn to hear their body's voice. I believe that through the physical practice we can learn the language of our body and follow it's lead. I have been studying to become a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner, but not yet completed my training.

I completed PhD in Human Performance, specializing in Exercise Physiology. My research interests were how a lifetime of exercise can offset the normal aging response. Additionally, I'm planning to develop a wellness practice to give people tools to age optimally.

Develops, implements and manages research projects. I am interested in cardiovascular and cognitive effects of being involved in a lifetime of physical activity. Specifically, I examine cardiovascular, cognitive and other physiological markers in older adults.

I operated a Siemens 3T MR utilized for psychological research. I provided excellent support to researchers and participants, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. In addition to supporting research mission of the facility, I was responsible for tracking facility usage, coordinating facility tours, and engaging outreach opportunities for outside educational groups.

I teach vinyasa flow, hot flow and yoga for athletes workshops. I like to bring students a way to learn more about their body by increasing their awareness of their movements and breath.

I taught a comprehensive 200 level course on Advanced Principles of Human Physiology.

Lead and instruct group water fitness classes in the summer months.

Taught courses in Beginning Swimming, Exercise Physiology, Introduction to Swim Coaching, Personal Fitness, and Structural Kinesiology.
