United States of America, Dkt. No. 17-55040 (9th Cir). Represented two foreign nationals victimized by assault and other criminal conduct perpetrated by an INS Agent. Drafted appellate brief defending the lower court’s issuance of attorneys’ fees for the government’s bad faith in the underlying litigation. • Alberts, et al. v. Aurora Behavioral Health Care, et al., LASC Case No. BC419340. Researched and drafted motion for class certification and a trial plan in a wage and hour class action and managed client communications for approximately 1,000+ class members.• Germaine-McIver v. County of Orange, et al., USDC Case No. 8:16-CV-01201-CJC (GJSx). Represented mother of a mentally ill inmate who committed suicide in County custody. • Mitchell, et al. v. City of Los Angeles, et al., USDC Case No. CV 16-01750 SJO (JPRx). Successfully obtained a preliminary injunction prohibiting the City from seizing and summarily destroying the property of homeless individuals without due process.

Researched complex areas of constitutional law, particularly issues concerning the First and Fourth Amendments; researched and drafted pleadings; negotiated terms of settlement with the City of Los Angeles; and represented homeless individuals charged with so-called “quality of life” infractions.
