Assumed role of classroom teacher for two eight week maternity leave placements, a semester long French replacement, a quarter long teacher replacement and a 4th quarter teacher replacement for family leave. Assumed role of classroom teacher for many short term durations of three to six week placements also. Developed and implemented exciting lessons, which accommodated multiple intelligences and learning styles. Incorporated hands-on activities to encourage student learning, promote participation, and reduce boredom. Participated in all staff meetings, workshops and parent-teacher conferences.

Assumed all responsibilities of regular classroom teacher, including professional development, communications with parents, assessments of students, and staff meetings. Collaborated with cooperating teacher to design curriculum and lesson plans; perform basic administrative duties such as recording attendance and organizing student portfolios; provide individual assistance to students, as needed. Taught 3 sections of English III, and English IV.
