• Created and negotiated a "Skills Center" based union contract that expanded the BU's ability to allow skills to trump seniority for promotions and retention, and gave growth opportunities to employees. Contract increased labor efficiency through the cross utiliziation of employees skills and abilities.• Retained and expanded the business unit's share of a diminishing film preservation market from aproximately 20% to 35% by remaining agile to fulfill customers' needs in a changing marketplace.• Partnered with engineering to re-work or create add-ons to equipment to fulfill existing needs and create additional service offerings. • Planned the creation of, and oversaw, a small HD transfer department, with "found" equipment, to support student film-makers and quality assurance fro the laboratory at large.• Developed multiple managers that were utilized in and out of the department.• Facilitated staff reduction, production ramp down, managing customer expectations, and ultimately the closure of the the department when it was decided to to exit the business due to a dwindling market for photochemical work.
