- Implementation team member for Epic Anesthesia application – planning,design,build and implementation- Team member of Orders Entry Support Team providing support for Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE). Certification from Epic in Order Entry.- Current Epic projects include: Phases of Care, Blood Bank Redesign, Pre-op checklist redesign, Pre-op Anesthesia orderset revision, redesign and reporting of point of care testing, redesign of Gift of Hope workflow and order entry- Discuss workflows with physicians, staff and Orders Team to make informed decisions for workflow and build changes- Design and build orders and ordersets in Epic.- Walkabout support for Epic Optime application in Pre-Op, IntraOp and PACU- Member of Nursing Informatics Hospital Support program, providing ‘rounding’ to units in a proactive approach to problem solving.- Committee’s include: Housewide Policy and Procedure, Change Control, CPOE, CPOE Epic issues, Nursing Informatics and Clinical Process Review Committee (CPRC)

- Project Leader for all Clinical Informatics projects including Cerner enhancements, Case Tracking and upgrades in Surgical Services- Member of Corporate Clinical Informatics team to design and implement IView- SuperUser for housewide PowerChart education including upgrades and process workflow changes- Liaison between Surgical Services staff/leadership and corporate team/Information Services- Education for new staff and leadership in all necessary Cerner applications (PowerChart and SurgiNet), as well as coordinating education for other applications as needed- Development of NHQM Core Measures education for staff and physicians. 100% chart audit for all SCIP/HOP patients- Build, run and distribute all reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis- Maintain SurgiNet, Preference Cards, PrivTool and Scheduling Appointment Book Applications for Surgical Services departments. - Create and review all Surgical Services Policies and Procedure (both department and regional) as well as department Processes on a yearly basis. . - Teaching all SurgiNet Trainers and SuperUsers, and developing teaching materials, including PowerPoint presentations, class outlines competency forms and department specific guidelines. Coordinate teaching of the Surgical Services departments during implementation and for new hires after activation.- Responsible for collecting, coordinating and submitting all Surginet build information to corporate team following design work sessions. Work with all department managers to make informed decisions on the build. Work with corporate team on build for upgrades - Attend all Cerner related and Nursing Informatics meetings Regionally and Corporate wide as required. Act as liaison between all Surgical Services departments, regional staff and corporate team members.
