I am part of the Syracuse City School District since 2002, where I designed, implemented and wrote the curriculum for the very successful CTE Medical Assistant Program. I worked as the Retention Specialist for The Syracuse City School District's Syracuse Employment And School Opportunity Network (SEASON) Program. Formerly worked as the Medical Assistant Instructor and P-TECH CTE Program Coordinator. I was concurrently employed at Elements of Helio Health as a Residential Program Director through August of 2022. Recruited and promoted from Vocational Counselor to Program Director. I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse.Successfully defended my dissertation at St. John Fisher University on 12/3/2021 to attain my Doctorate in Executive Leadership with a Social Justice focus. I hold my Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration, Master’s Degree in Career and Technical Education, Bachelor's Degree in Health Careers Education, Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and Humanities. I am Licensed as a Practical Nurse, and I hold my Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) Advanced Counselor certification.I hold my Professional Certifications as a School District Leader, Special Education Teacher, Health Educator, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, and Medical Assistant/CTE Instructor. I entered the world of teaching as a Special Education Teaching Assistant, then later as a Special Education Teacher. I was part of the Syracuse City School District's Health Curriculum Writing Team, and served as a member on the Syracuse City School District's Trauma and Resilience Advocacy Committee (TRAC) .My desire is to gain a Leadership role; where I can continue to provide evidence based and trauma informed opportunities for at-risk individuals. Providing all people with equitable opportunities to thrive, discover individual potential, creativity, and talent as a basis for continuous lifelong learning and success.
