A life well lived can be measured by the ability to change. I grew up loving photography, so much so that I made it my career for almost 20 years. I still love photography and working with clients, illustrating their most important life moments. But around 2016 I started to want even more for my life. I had started working at a "bridge-job," a career choice to supplement my income while I made decisions about my photography business. Working at Great Life Chiropractic on the front desk quickly turned into running the whole practice. I was in a place where I could make some big moves for my education. Returning to college in 2018, I set out to turn my Associates Degree into a Bachelors Degree. It had been quite a journey, but it has all been worth it. Graduating from Saint Joseph's University is one of the hardest, most rewarding things I have ever done. The life ahead of me is unknown, but I do know that it will be one that can be curated with the help, love and support of those around me. With my degree I am currently looking for a career in science communication or non-profit administration. The world needs people who can communicate the hard work that scientists and artists do, translating it into digestible content to fuel inclusivity, policy, and community. I've been scouring the city for positions at science museums, publications, education businesses, among others, so that I can serve as a spokesperson for science and the arts. This journey is not over. I'm incredibly grateful for for the opportunities that have gotten me here and I'm over the moon excited for what's to come.
