CurrentNegotiate and draft publishing agreements with composers/songwriters' representatives. Issue licenses for songs, collect earnings, and ensure that proper royalties are paid. Register the works of songwriters and composers with all appropriate collecting societies and agencies. Oversee the protection of rights and take action when these are infringed. Select and license music for broadcast, film, TV, and new media productions. Actively search for new talent, listen to demos and make recommendations. Develop and maintain relationships with music publishers, record companies, advertising agencies, film/video production companies, performers and others. Conceptualizing and implementing cross promotions/branded entertainment platforms.Licensing of intellectual properties for commercial campaigns including music, talent, props, locations, animation, photographs, video footage, printed material, artwork, literature, etc., and collaborating with record labels, publishing companies, advertising agencies, brands, musical artists, talent agents and artist management companies. Review creative for potential legal issues, including clearances, and licensing of third-party materials. Work closely with our IP lawyer in resolving potential production liabilities and creating solutions for agency and clients. Prepare copyright clearance reports that includes documentation for all licenses, releases, copyrights and clearances for productions. Submit cleared production reports to E&O Insurance carrier.
