Promoted to Program Manager to assist in the development and growth of the program. Collaborates with MECK Pre-K early childhood education providers to ensure that all program requirements and procedures are met. These collaborations include but are not limited to review of administrative & teaching staff credentials, provider & teacher training/consultation, and on-site monitoring.• Leads, inspires, and sets a high standard of excellent practices by coordinating all aspects of classroom practice compliance and by supporting program staff, site administrators, teachers and team members within the organization• Supervises team of support staff to help build internal leadership skills to the benefit of the program• Collaborates with outside sales vendors to meet internal program needs i.e training and development software, technology,curriculum resources• Oversees daily operation of the MECK Pre-K Program Support office, including all classroom support processes.• Develops & coordinates an ongoing system of support for site administrators and educators for successful implementation ofhigh-quality teaching practices across the county• Provides recommendations to the MECK Pre-K Executive Director for responding to specific types of programquestions/needs and prepares written strategies, protocols, and procedures.• Develops a Work Plan (WP) for each staff, aligned with their job description.• Ensures staff receive appropriate professional development to be successful.• Coordinates annual and ongoing professional development related to program implementation and high-quality teachingpractices to teaching staff and site administrators.• Creates opportunities (schedules, protocols, and initial facilitation) for Professional Learning Community (PLC) for teachers.• Oversees the classroom inventory assessments and submits orders for needed materials.

Responsible for effectively coaching 17 Pre-K locations with 36 teachers total. Tasked with relaying county guidelines, curriculum updates, training material and children development.• Provides on-site embedded professional development through side-by-side coaching techniques, modeling lessons, video-taping and using targeted teacher observations to enhance best practices in instructional presentation.• Develops and implements professional development related to evidence-based practices and teacher needs in the Pre-Kindergarten setting.• Analyzes assessment data and collaborates with teachers and other support staff to make instructional recommendations.• Establishes and maintains a cooperative working relationship with families, school personnel and community.• Works collaboratively with other MECK Pre-K Success coaches to develop strategies for teaching expected outcomes in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom.• Provides feedback and documentation to child care center Administrators, MECK Pre-K, Director and MECK Pre-K Specialist.• Models lessons using appropriate early literacy strategies and developmentally appropriate practices.• Attend required coach trainings (e.g., the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS™) certification and related professional development for coaching staff).• Reviews, analyzes and interprets data from CLASS™ assessments and Teaching Strategies measures to ensure that Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold are implemented to fidelity.• Provides onsite technical assistance and coaching related to the professional development plan, reporting dates of visits, material covered, progress made and provides monthly reports of coaching by site and classroom (through an online tracking• system).• Attend meetings as needed to coordinate coaching, instructional best practices, program administration, the identification of challenges or trends across MECK Pre-K classrooms to inform and strategize as to additional efforts needed

Lead Bright Beginnings teacher in a Title 1 classroom in South Charlotte. • Lead Educator: Currently a lead teacher at a Title 1 school. In addition to creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with designated curriculum, I pride myself on creating a nurturing learning environment where children from all backgrounds come together to grow socially and academically. • Climate & Culture Committee Chair: Nominated by co-workers to lead the committee in the planning and implementing of school-wide events. I am responsible for community outreach, obtaining corporate sponsors and building relationships with businesses in the community. • Mentor Teacher: I was chosen by administration to be a mentor for beginning teachers who need additional support. I am responsible for observing and meeting with beginning teachers to help build their skills, develop lesson plans, and counsel them through any struggles or obstacles they may come across.
