Colleen Rollings is the founder of H3R Inc, a project management company that coordinates and implements projects for public sector organizations.To date, H3R Inc has completed over $20 million dollars in healthcare infrastructure improvements including: the installation of a $7.4 million dollar MRI Redevelopment project, $2.5 million dollar patient safety system, a $1 million operating room suite renovation, and the implementation of cutting-edge patient monitor technology for the IWK Health Centre.Before founding H3R Inc, Colleen spent 22 years in the natural gas distribution sector. During this time, Colleen was instrumental in the roll out of natural gas lines in Nova Scotia. She assisted in the design and construction of almost all natural gas pipelines installed in the province and oversaw issues related to permitting, construction, procurement, land rights acquisition and regulator approval.Her responsibilities included engineering design, technical documentation, cost control, construction contracts and permitting for 400 km of natural gas pipeline system. This system was installed over 13 years and was valued at $300M.During this time, Colleen was responsible for the daily management of 22 staff members. She also played a key role in liaising with government agencies to facilitate expansion of the pipeline system including: NSUARB, certifying authority, CN Rail, Nova Scotia Environment and Department of Energy.As an Engineer-in-Residence with Dalhousie University, Colleen liaised with industry and capstone year students and provides mentorship opportunities and business development training.Colleen is also deeply committed to donating her time to the community, including:- Operating as Chair for Rockingham United Church’s Building & Property Committee where she implemented a $150K roof replacement, $200k solar panel installation and other energy efficiency initiatives.- Working as a technical liaison to facilitate the installation of playground equipment for Halifax’s Grosvenor Wentworth Park School. This included overseeing $180,000 in funds raised by the community.
