•As a vegetation ecologist supporting the LANDFIRE program, Colleen developed and revised LANDFIRE National Biophysical Settings (BpS) and corresponding vegetation models for the Eastern US and Alaska. She also helped to refine and update the vegetation data layers for the LANDFIRE Refresh project.•As an ecologist and curriculum designer for NIFTT, Colleen created online courses and support for software tools to assist land managers and conservation planners with assessing current conditions on landscapes, projecting future conditions, and evaluating the impacts of potential management activities on natural resources, fire risk, and fuels.
