From working in-house with the FDIC and a major bank following the bank failures of the early '90's to working with the State of Maine in acquiring real estate interests for conservation and public access, to working with major national and local land trusts, it's been an interesting career evolution.

Performed legal due diligence related to the State of Maine's acquisition or funding of real estate interests by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Department of Conservation and Department of Agriculture, primarily through the Land for Maine's Future Program. Negotiated and drafted conservation and working farmland easements and communicated.

Working on the bank's premises, I managed, litigated and closed the portofolio of cases remaining after the closure of the Managed Assets Division's in-house legal office. Represented the bank in foreclosure actions and bankruptcy court, drafted workouts and closed its OREO sales.

RECOLL was established as a subsidiary of Fleet Bank to contract with the FDIC to clean up the troubled loan portfolios following the failure of the Bank of New England, Maine National Bank, Maine Savings Bank and other regional banks. Working with RECOLL's in house counsel and loan officers, I consistently closed the highest volume of cases per quarter.
