I assist patrons in finding and ordering library materials, research and answer reference questions, and help patrons to use our public computers, printers, and microfiche machines. I update the library's social media accounts and website and create marketing and event materials to promote library programs. I help to develop and run library programs and events.

As a licensed real estate salesperson, I help people to buy and sell homes. I also help to find the perfect residential, commercial, or vacation rentals.

As a freelance marketing coordinator, I write copy for press releases, advertisements, and advertorials, plus I work to build brand awareness by marketing via social media. I also design advertisements and various marketing materials.

I write album reviews for this independent music blog.

I get to share my love of crochet with students as I teach them everything from single crochet to more complicated techniques. I promote classes through demonstrations and participate in charitable events like Warm Up America. I have earned my crochet instructor certification from the Craft Yarn Council.

I assisted members with all of their banking transactions, adhered to credit union standards, balanced all branch transactions, and managed the teller line. I was responsible for ordering cash deliveries to the branch.

I worked in the Business Solutions section of John Wiley and Sons Canada's professional and trade division. I researched contacts, completed mailings, created promotional material, proofread catalogues and flyers, maintained contact databases, and performed various other tasks. I was the Business Solutions liaison with our design and web teams. I also spent time interacting with customers at Wiley's booth at trade shows for the technology, security, and environmental safety fields.

In this part-time management position, I was responsible for sales and key performance indicators during my time as the manager on duty. On top of customer service, I motivated staff, set personal and store sales goals, met my own personal sales goals, performed or delegated logistical tasks, and maintained company standards.I started as a part-time sales associate in September 2006 and worked my way up to a keyholder just over a year later. I worked with all of the banners of Jacob during my time there, including Jacob Connexion, Jacob Lingerie, Jacob Jr., Danz, and Josef. I worked with a wide range of customers and products, which required strong product knowledge and good selling techniques.

I did a 6 week internship with the Business Solutions Marketing department in Wiley's trade and professional books. I did mailings, research, and maintenance on contact lists, among other tasks. I also had the opportunity to attend meetings and learn about the company and the business.

I collected advertising requisition forms, invoices, and advertisement design forms and kept track of our advertisers and payments. I participated in Sales Team meetings and reported to the Sales Manager. I also made cold-calls to local businesses to present advertising opportunities in our magazine and on the website.
