Coordinating the elements of a violence prevention intervention in the parish of St. James, Jamaica. Based on the model of the hospital intervention in the mid 2000's at the Bustamante Hospital for Children in Kingston, the intervention will focus on children and youth victims of abuse and violence presenting at the Cornwall Regional Hospital. Called CAMP Cornwall (Child Abuse Mitigation Project), hospital based Social Workers will address the psycho-social needs of the children/youth. A public Education component will also be introduced in some of the more high risk communities in the parish.I monitor the project to ensure compliance and deadlines are met; maintaining communication with relevant clients, stakeholders and internal personnel, in particular ,the linkages between the Hospital based Social Workers and complementary field staff in St James.I collaborate with the VPA team and facilitate other activities - e.g. evaluation of an interim project, Drug Sentinel Surveillance System, a community-based intervention in Mount Salem, St.James, the launch of Peace Day 2018 ("Trees for Peace") at the Mount Salem Primary and Junior High School, prepare information on children and violence for a The project is supported by the Citizens Security and Justice Programme (CSJP) of the Ministry of National Security, with funds from the IADB.

Provided technical support in the development of an intervention called Violence among School-Aged Children in the Bahamas. Tasks included facilitating consultations and workshops in order to develop protocols for an alert system in primary and secondary schools, prior to implementing the system in two test institutions.

Co-facilitating a series of workshops for potential community facilitators from the Greater Mona Valley, in Kingston, Jamaica. Topics included, Child Development, Discipline, Strengths-based parenting, Parent-Child Communication, Parenting Then and Now, Fatherhood and Self-Esteem.

As the Caribbean Coordinator for a global research and education project entitled MAGIC (http://www.magic-project.eu/), which includes 20 countries and regions from around the world, including the Caribbean, I was responsible for ensuring Caribbean participation in the project. This included coordinating technical training, engaging researchers, academics and practitioners in thematic areas of MAGIC's Global Science Communities (the environment, eHealth, biodiversity and remote instrumentation).I coordinated a regional consultation on the interconnections between the environment and health at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill (Barbados) in April.
