Cesta is a Czech word that means "journey." As the Founder of CollegeCesta my desire is to help Simplify the Journey to College and Beyond by creating an online platform to house all activities and achievements in one place for quick easy retrieval at a later date. CollegeCesta.com is beneficial during the scholarship and college application process, as well as for resume building and other projects such as 4-H record books. As a mother of two teenagers, when our journey into high school started, I began seeking a simple, online resource as an activity tracker. Even in this age of technology, I did not find what I had envisioned. This is the FIRST step in this process because to complete applications or write essays, you must first have your achievements and documentation. So, with my entrepreneur hat on, and thanks to a dear friend, CollegeCesta was born to help fulfill my need as well as help many others in this busy world today. I mean, we could all use a little simple, right? With a Bachelor of Business Administration - Marketing - from Texas A&M University (Whoop!), my main experience is in merchandising / marketing and in the non-profit sector, but my passion has always been entrepreneurship and helping others! I also have my Refit certification and enjoy spending any free time (what's that?!) with family and friends, of course outdoors if the weather is warm.
