Researching the accuracy of water stress estimates determined by NASA remote sensing device ECOSTRESS. The remote sensing estimates of water stress in 7 vineyards in Southern Oregon are compared to grape and leaf samples collected from the 7 vineyards. The research project is an undergraduate honors thesis.

Ecohydrology: Climate Change Model of Marys River Watershed I collaborated in four-person team to model the hydrology of Marys River Watershed using HEC-HMS and analyzed current watershed characteristics and future climate change impacts. I created a technical report and a presentation to communicate the results.

Engineering Graphics & Design: Greenwater Infrastructure Bioswale DesignI collaborated in three-person team to create a 2D design in AutoCAD (profile and cross section) for a bioswale on a road side along Kidder Park in Albany, OR. I practiced clear professional/technical communication skills by creating a report with a cover sheet, existing conditions, three retrofit designs, and a bioswale design.

Ecohydraulics: Fish Passage Analysis of Culvert in Calapooia River I used HEC-RAS to analyze hydraulics of a culvert in Calapooia River near Tangent, OR and optimize culvert model to fit previously collected stream data. I determined the feasibility of fish passage and the severity of flooding in 2-year and 100-year flood events. I wrote weekly memos to update stakeholders and a final report that determined the culvert is unsatisfactory.
