After a little bit of time working at an NPO, I’m proud to say I successfully leverage 3 case loads of participants in Customized Employment.Department of Rehabilitation referrals are simply a group of people looking to re-enter the workforce. These individuals are typically eager or looking forward to learning new skills to apply in their new roles.Veterans, Spouses, and their families are such a rewarding group, because they walk in the door with unparalleled tact, charm, and grace. They are already familiar with methods and procedures for success and just need a little coaching to transform “Military Speak” into “Civilian Success”.Ages 16 - 25 are “Young Adults”, don’t let the age fool ya! These guys and gals walk in the door as blank slate with all the modern features. They successfully command arts, culture, and ingenuity. They just need some support cashing in that high school/college I.d., for something state issued or federal even as they are on their way to financial and vocational success.Each participant in the programs touches my heart, and they all teach me something new every day! “Grow or Go!”
