The courses took place in parts of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah and exposed the students to a wide variety of field techniques and topics while challenging them to navigate diverse field areas to complete projects with tight deadlines. Duties also included GIS troubleshooting, supply inventory, travel planning, minor vehicle maintenance, and assisting in exercise grading.____________________________________________________________________Mineralogy and Petrology - GEOSC 201 - Spring 2019Guided one lab section of around 20 students through a series of labs exploring topics and techniques in mineralogy and petrology using hand samples and thin sections. The course culminated in a day trip into the Appalachian Mountains for a field-based exercise.____________________________________________________________________Volcanoes - GEOSC 030 - Summer 2020Taught a six-week summer course as a part of Penn State's summer LEAP program. A program to help students transition from high school to college. The course material was split into 6 modules focused on introducing students from a variety of disciplines to the basics of volcanology.
