This role works extensively with internal and external parties, including banking partners and vendors, to execute and oversee key AML/CTF programs in India, Australia and other markets. This is a newly created role designed to execute as part of a small local team.Key Duties and Responsibilities• Analysing and executing investigative research to ensure the legitimacy and on-boarding of any new customers and to mitigate all potential regulatory risk pertaining to Anti Money Laundering (AML) & Know Your Customer (KYC)• Analysing Sanctions, SDN, Adverse news & Politically Exposed Person (PEP) hits while performing the background screening.• Provide leadership on a small, hands-on team to execute and/or oversee all aspects of Avenues AML/CTF programs in India. This includes working with AML/KYC and support functions in multiple time zones.• Design, document, and execute processes in support of AML/CTF programs, including identification of key risks and controls. Read and interpret complex documents relating to new or changing regulatory requirements. Evaluate process efficiency and drive improvement.• Manage relationships with banking partners and vendors as well as with regulators.• Support key business initiatives and ensure the risks of new products and channels are adequately measured and mitigated.• Monitor key AML/CTF program metrics and ensure issues are promptly addressed.
