My name is Collin Foose I am 21 years old, I’m married and have built my wife and I’s first home within a 12-month period from start-to-finish. Currently, I’m a student at Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business majoring in business management. I plan to obtain the knowledge needed to be successful to be able to start my own construction company. Through my past work experiences and my educational journey, I have acquired many transferrable skills including:Efficiency: I have completed many projects while in college and in my field of work. In the spring of 2017, I was given the opportunity and the responsibility to build a 1,600 sq. ft. lake house from start to finish. I completed this project on time, under budget, while I was a full-time college student. I have continued to repeat this successful outcome on multiple projects since then that I have managed. Communication: I believe that I’ve strengthened my communication skills since becoming a project manager as well as working in teams during academic projects. Being passionate about my work and the ones I work with helps me to communicate confidently and accurately. I have a huge advantage when it comes to effective communication since I married at a young age. Leadership: Since a young age, I have always attained a leadership role among my many siblings and friends. This has remained true into my young adult life and carried through to my past and present work experiences. While employed at Beckering Construction I was placed in a leadership role as a supervisor where I oversaw more than four experienced professionals at a time. As a supervisor, my team and I renovated residential housing to become rental properties. I am always seeking to expand and strengthen my network. I would be very interested to connect with you.
